It seems that since I last looked, several new build systems have popped up. It is certainly a lot easier to get going than autotools and make. I chose SCons as the build system for libstrophe several years back, and was mostly quite happy. One of the underreported things about Google’s new Chrome browser is that SCons is used to build many of its modules. Note that some branches are unstable and - Battle Of The Build Systems blog books talks about Battle Of The Build Systems The list of supported mods can be found here. This repository contains (re-)implementations of some mods as separate branches derived from master.
